St. Louis County will be adding a middle turn lane to Barrett Station Road at some point in the future. In the process, St. Louis County will need to remove the entry island on Hidden Meadow Drive and acquire 5 parcels of land from the subdivision. We have not been notified when this will be taking place, or how long the construction will last.
The neighborhood will be compensated in for the land, and has just been notified of the purchase prices. The Trustees will calculate the cost of rebuilding the island, and negotiate the proper compensation.
It appears as though the neighborhood will also be responsible for finding and hiring the rebuilding contractor. St. Louis County may or may not provide guidance toward this endeavor. If anyone has experience in seeking this type of contractor, please contact a trustee.
