Thank you to all the households who braved the cold and attended the neighborhood meeting on December 4th.

We fell 9 homes short of the quorum needed to elect a new trustee, but 16 votes (including proxy) were collected for the only candidate, Andy Trout. All residents who did not attend, are asked to submit their proxy vote for Andy's candidacy here on the site.
In addition to the election, the meeting covered neighborhood news and events, including:
• Updates on the Barrett Station road construction project
• Our plans to remove the excessive vegetation from the gated retention pond behind Janie Card's home in early 2009
• A job opportunity for a neighborhood youngster who would like to earn money for removing weeds from cul-de-sacs
• Opening an investigation into the possibility of becoming a part of Des Peres (however unlikely)
• Plans to create more neighborhood social events in 2009 with the cooperation and help of many residents
• Enabling the neighborhood web forum to send emails to all users when new posts arrive
One thing that we did not cover is the Neighborhood Watch Program. Officer Dustin Poncin (dponcin@stlouisco.com) was unable to attend tonight's meeting, but will be in attendance next time. He is happy to provide any guidance or support materials to any interested resident in the meantime. The trustees plan to collect a small cache of these materials for distribution. You may also email Officer Poncin at the address listed above to receive the monthly newsletter from the St. Louis County Police. We will be subscribing.
